Not all guests welcomed former president Richard Nixon as protesters shouted at diners at a fundraising dinner in Colombes on Wednesday. Demonstrators urged passing motorists to join the anti Nixon effort while Nixon delivered his first foreign policy address since leaving office in 1974.
Mae Penereque Mive Ge filed suit in the 10th Common Pleas Court Wednesday against Ernie Brumfield operator of Sparkle Market Wellington for $90,000 alleging injuries from a slip on ice. The incident occurred on or about January 9.
Columbus report shows a 15 percent drop in Ohio gasoline tax revenues over the next two years. Clark Street of the Ohio Department of Transportation warns that capital improvements and routine maintenance could drop to near zero by 1983. He cites a proposed 1.1 billion dollar 1982-83 appropriation and notes personnel cuts while stressing the state’s gas tax share may fall from 434 million to about 419 million as of next year. The department budgets nothing for patching sealing paving marking mowing lighting and other maintenance in 1983 beginning July 1.
