The Lorain County Grand Jury finished a three day session returning 33 indictments. The panel handled 81 cases involving 62 persons.
An armed intruder abducted 33 year old Maxine Bachnika from her Oberlin home yesterday and forced her to drive to her in laws and to Russia Road near the airport before releasing her nearly an hour later. She and her husband Rudolf and their four children were safe. Police investigate motive. no money was demanded.
An Air Force C130 cargo plane collided in the air with a jet trainer near Little Rock Arkansas. All five dead were aboard the C130 while the two jet crew members parachuted to safety. Both aircraft crashed and burned in the incident.

A three-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Beaver Falls injured 22 people, 2 seriously. A car driven by Mir Hamid Abbi of Atlanta lost control on ice, hitting a propane tanker that jackknifed and rolled. A Greyhound bus rear ended the truck after swerving to avoid the car, injuring 21 aboard. Abbi and bus driver Lawrence Kahn were treated and released. traffic reopened after hours, then a propane leak prompted evacuation along a 16 mile stretch.
A Canton man involved in a wreck with a tractor trailer and a car collapsed and died at the scene near Greenwich. The incident occurred yesterday as emergency crews responded to the collision in the Sullivan area.

Greenwich teens hospital crash injuries include Hartley, Brown, and others in care at Ashland Samaritan Hospital.

Mosher defends votes on Vietnam and defends school prayer while Kenyon accuses him of voting against national defense and questions district residency.
