Chinese labor unions back the strike protesting landing of British troops amid Sun Chuan Fang’s collapse in Chekiang.
Shattered parts of an airplane washed ashore near Barnegat Inlet and authorities believe Lieut Willard J. Harris and Lieut. William A. Gray of Langley Field Va. died in a crash into the Atlantic after leaving Mitchel Field. Search efforts were hampered by fog and weather. The J-3 dirigible was unable to assist due to mist.
Damages from a week of snow wind and rain threaten a high total across California. Los Angeles property losses exceed 1 million dollars with crops in Grange county badly hit. Flooded roads, evacuated families, and railway repairs dot the scene as storms ease along the coast.

Manila Feb 19 officials and insurers held cautious hope that the American freighter Elkton with 27 crew members and $1,000,000 in sugar cargo to Honolulu and New York may have found shelter rather than foundered after a mid Pacific storm. The steamer Baltibrator intercepted distress calls and found only oily water where Elkton reported its position. The Elkton's wireless was crippled, hindering safety contact, as search continued.
Alta M. Wilson by her father Arthur A. Wilson of 2804 Gardez Ave Lorain filed suit in common pleas court seeking 325000 against the Cleveland and Southwestern Railway and Light Company. She alleges the rear end of a Southwestern car struck her as it turned the Y at Lorain causing bruises, hurt and mental agony.
