Ohio redistricting suit moves forward over 2012 maps
A court allows the voting rights suit to proceed on the 2014 2016 2018 and 2020 elections while delaying a ruling on 2012 maps. Democrats argued the lines were gerrymandered to help Republicans who hold a 4 1 majority on the Apportionment Board. Voters say the maps split communities in violation of state constitutional provisions.
