Scope Of Services Of Elyria Library Grown In Years
In 1947 the Elyria Library board restored full monthly vacations for staff except the janitor who received two weeks. May brought cleaning and painting eight rooms and two halls in the main library. June saw the resignation of school librarian Mrs Tyler. a replacement was not found by September, divisions of work went to Miss Taylor and Miss Jane Davies, with additional help from Miss Yeaton. October formalized equal services to all Lorain County residents under Sec. 5625-20 of the General Code. A list of 1947 library activities follows.
