No One Eats Alone at Midview Middle Brings Students Together

At Midview Middle School in Grafton students from the group Students for Change led Lunchtime Circles to help isolated peers socialize. The effort, funded by a Lorain County Board of Mental Health grant, had sixth to eighth graders organize games and conversations with counselor Lisa Simpson noting visible smiles and lasting connections. Meghan Ables, an eighth grader, says the aim is ongoing inclusivity beyond lunch and to reduce teen isolation linked to local suicide concerns. Amherst mother denounces Avon players for mocking disabled student
