Fatal Auto Crash Near Brighton Kills Alden
Roy Alden, 06, of Los Angeles, and his companion C C Grimes, 38, of Akron, were in a car that left Route 18 a half mile west of Brighton around 8 p.m. yesterday. Alden died at the scene. Grimes was critically injured and taken to Falls Clinic at Wellington. Both men worked in the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. Akron sales department and were en route to Akron. The driver attempted to pass another vehicle before the crash.

In Richmond California on February 15 Wayne Mahan, 13, flew a kite whose string touched a 60 000 volt line. The line short circuited and burst into flame. A 10088 end knocked off A G Paice's hat as the burning wire burned through asphalt, topsoil and sliced a gas main. Police and firemen shut off gas and electricity to control the blaze.
