Largest distillery raid uncovers vast Toledo operation
In Toledo Ohio on February 18 federal agents raided the region’s largest prohibition era distillery, valued at 200000 dollars and reportedly funded by a Chicago or Detroit syndicate. The fortified plant contained 2 ten thousand gallon stills, twelve ten thousand gallon mash vats, storage tanks and separators. Two Fined On E Liquor Charge
J. D. Fletcher of East Broad street was found guilty of possession of liquor and fined 350 dollars plus costs. Howard Dean, driver of the car, was fined 200 dollars and costs. Officer C. E.
