Highway robbery hits Oberlin road near Stop 91

A daring late night holdup at Stop 91 on Oberlin road left Irving Lieberman and David Feldman robbed of gems and cash. Three men forced the pair from their car, searched them, and escaped in a Dodge roadster while local deputies and Pinkertons join the hunt.

Robbery Attempt at LS Ticket Office Reported

Foss the ticket agent reported an attempted holdup at the LS ticket office this morning. A man rapped the window and demanded money, then fled after the agent resisted and the window slammed shut. Indictments Seek Hidden Loot From Toledo Post Office Robbery

Five secret federal indictments allege receiving stolen property connected to the 1921 Toledo post office robbery. Indicted residents include men from Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland. Steve McGraw of Toledo, jailed in Atlanta for bootlegging, is charged with receiving part of the loot. James and Charles Annurio and Beatrice Cangiamillia face charges of aiding robber George Rogers to escape.

Cleveland interurban line to be sold at auction

A foreclosure sale of the Cleveland Southwestern and Columbus interurban line, 209 miles of track and related property, is set for March 14 at Elyria offices. The bid proceeds require federal court approval in Cleveland. The line serves Oberlin Norwalk Elyria and other towns with branches to Lorain Amherst Grafton and more.
