Dry Agents Seize 25 Gallons of Alleged Booze in Lorain
State Agents George Baynham and O. P. Davis raided Carl Solovey at 3116 Elsha Avenue Lorain and found about 25 gallons of liquor. A 50 gallon barrel was tapped from outside the cellar wall accessed by a removed section of wall. Solovey pleaded not guilty to possession with bond set at 1000 dollars for Friday. Separate arrest of Mike Marianne at 2156 East 28th Street led to a $300 fine after he pleaded guilty to possessing a few ounces of liquor from the same raid.
