Appeal hearings loom in Geiger murder case in Ohio
North Olmsted. The appeal of Gordon Geiger, convicted of stabbing deaths of his parents on June 7, 1979, is expected to be heard in March or April by the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Geiger, 28, was sentenced last April to life in prison and has been housed at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility after earlier confinement at Columbus facility. His father Franklin, 85, fell ill Wednesday, was hospitalized, and returned home Thursday. his mother remains hospitalized. Cover, a Cleveland native and former theater student, plans to return to Los Angeles for rehearsals next week.
