Abduction and killing shock Elyria area
Police say a city official's 11 year old daughter Linda VanderVeen was abducted from her school crossing post and found murdered in a snow filled field. Investigators described two black male suspects and sought a dark Grand Prix or Cordoba and a cream Ford wagon. FBI and state police assisted as roadblocks were set from Grand Rapids to Muskegon.

Coffee price cuts by major roasters cut 5 cents per pound
United Press International reports Folger Coffee Co and Hills Bros Coffee Inc have trimmed wholesale ground coffee prices by 5 cents a pound.
