Salt marsh loss endangers Ridgway's rail and coastal habitat
Scientists from the U S Geological Survey warn eight national coastal salt marshes are eroding as sea level rise and development accelerate. The study led by Neil Ganju finds all eight marshes losing ground, with Blackwater Maryland and Seal Beach among those unlikely to survive 350 years. Findings aid conservation and land use planning for habitat restoration.
