Philadelphia police test body clock shift plan
About 270 officers in Philadelphia will begin a circadian based schedule this Sunday in a 18 day cycle then shift to a later timetable if successful. Dr Charles Czeisler says it could transform police work hours and reduce illness while Fraternal Order of Police leaders anticipate better health for officers. The plan shifts begin at 11 pm 7 am and 3 pm with three four day on two days off cycles before changing shifts.
