Body found in Lake Erie near Avon Lake park
Avon Lake police and firefighters recovered an adult male body late Wednesday night near the Miller Road Park boat launch. The body was found about 11:34 p.m. as crews searched for James Valenta, 30, who was reported missing this weekend. Valenta’s abandoned car was found in the Miller Park Road parking lot. Police, firefighters and Lorain Coast Guard personnel remained on scene. identity was pending.
