USS/Kobe Steel employees near 2,600 will vote Friday night at Southview High School at 7 p.m. on a possible strike after talks with United Steelworkers broke off at 4:30 a.m. The contract expired last Thursday midnight. President Al Pena says USS/Kobe would not match USX wages and benefits and walked away from negotiations.

Voice box taps nurse as abuser in trial
