Mardi Gras Lounge Arrests in Elyria Scuffle
Two Elyria men were charged with assault after a Mardi Gras Lounge scuffle. Larry Sea Sor, 21, and Jeffrey Ashwill, 22, were accused of scuffling and threatening patrons on Washington Avenue. Seasor was found outside with a tire iron. no injuries were reported.

More than $3,000 worth of jewelry was stolen in a break in at a Garvin Street house Thursday. Police report Katherine Paulikowski of 124 Garvin St returned home about 4 25 p m to find the entry and missing diamond and pearl pieces. No suspects named.

Jury awards $15,000 in uninsured motorist case
A jury ruled $15,000 in favor of James B. Todd in a Buckeye Union Insurance uninsured motorist dispute. Todd, injured Sept. 27, 1978, when his motorcycle collided with a car owned by Peter J. Makepeace, had previously won $75,000 against Makepeace, who was uninsured and later died. The jury found Makepeace at fault and ruled David Jr. Todd not a resident of the household, so Buckeye’s policy limits stood.

A 36 year old Elyria man Linus Shepard was charged with felonious assault after allegedly stabbing Rexford Phillips in the back at the Florida Bar on Huron Street during a pool game dispute. Phillips received minor injuries at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Officers Holstein and Jaykal, off duty, witnessed the scuffle and Shepard’s knife threat.

An 78 year old Elyria woman is in fair condition at Elyria Memorial Hospital after being dragged by her husband Andrew Hauer’s car at the Ponderosa Steak House parking lot. The woman became stuck when her coat snagged in the door as he pulled away briefly. The band Infinity will play a dance at Marion L Steele High School tonight from 10 to midnight with a $2.50 admission.
