Alaskan Brewing Goes Green With Spent Grain Boiler
Juneau based Alaskan Brewing Co installs a $1.8 million boiler that burns spent grain to produce steam and cut energy costs. The system, funded in part by a Rural Energy for America Program grant, could save about $450,000 annually and offset 70 percent of yearly energy use.
