Elyria Council OKs Rock Excavation Cost Increase in Sewer Bond Plan
Elyria City Council voted to transfer up to 21000 to the storm sewer bond fund to cover rock excavation cost overruns on the Northeast trunk line. The 1.5 million bond issue approved in 1947 funded three trunk lines with the contract price at 431793 and an overrun of 18913 as rock removal exceeded estimates.
