Mundt Calls for Communist Registration in Congress
Rep Earl Mundt R SD urged Congress to require Communists and front groups to register with the Justice Department. He said the time has come for U S Communists to stand up and be counted and likened secrecy to phony stock deals. The bill would make noncompliance a criminal offense with up to one year in jail and a $1000 fine.
