Lorain County cuts ties with Visitors Bureau
Lorain County commissioners vote to end the 30 year partnership with the Lorain County Visitors Bureau, resign their seats, and move travel and tourism under the Community Development Department. They filed papers to form a new nonprofit to potentially replace the bureau, after funding totaling about 500000 dollars from the county bed tax last year.

Police: Double shooting wasn’t random target, Elyria couple killed
Elyria police say the Sunday double shooting at 128 Fox Hill Lane was not random. They found Michael L. Lewis 32 and Fannie Lewis 22 dead in a rented Chevrolet Traverse with New York plates. Michael was shot in the head twice and Fannie in the back twice.

Broadway traffic closure in Lorain detours northbound lanes
The northbound lanes of Broadway in Lorain between West Fourth and West Sixth streets close today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic detours use West Sixth Street to Washington Avenue to West Fourth Street back to Broadway while southbound lanes stay open.
