Sheriff Deputy Cordy reports burglars entered a concrete block wall at Rt. 58 and Middle Ridge to access a Food Fair Market safe. They ripped open the desk high safe in the front office after forcing an inner door and removing part of the casing. Checks totaling 768.26 were left behind. The break was spotted at 8 45 am. Thomas Stoyanoff and Nicholas Bogojevich operated the market.

Burton and Harold W Davis are sought after abducting Missouri trooper Willam Little. Davis wounded himself as police closed in near Melber eight miles southwest of Paducah. The Missouri highway patrol chief ordered a shoot to kill policy as the bandits fled.
