Gunman Holds Up B and B Market for 386 dollars

A lone gunman robbed the B and B Market at 327 Lake Ave shortly before 8 30 p m taking about 386 from the cash register Elyria police said Charles Malik 610 Middle Ave owner of the market chased the robber on foot and in a car he borrowed and gave police a description and license plate Police noted the car was loaned to a friend last night and the suspect was last seen on Huron St Police described the man as about 19 or 20 years old six feet to six feet three inches tall 150 to 155 pounds with a light brown hair light complexion a slender build face smeared with greenish gray paint or mud He wore tan work pants a plaid shirt and a brown zipper jacket The police chief said investigators will check for links to a prior Colony Restaurant holdup and this is Elyria’s third armed robbery in less than a month.
