Rosella Whitman a 12 year old girl daughter of Mr and Mrs Anthony J Whitman of 148 South Logan street was slightly injured yesterday when struck by an automobile while crossing Cleveland street. The auto driven by J H Edwards of 2199 Bellefield avenue Cleveland took her to a relative's home and her injuries were not serious. Two other minor accidents were reported: a collision on Lake avenue between a car driven by J J Rich of 926 Lake avenue and a truck driven by Claude Plumb of 317 West 28th street Lorain with slight damage, and a hit run on Lake and Bell avenues near 11:30 p m by a car whose driver did not stop.

Elyria Surgeon Dr Ernest Clement Dies at 63
Funeral services for Dr Ernest Perry Clement prominent Elyria surgeon and sportsman will be at 2:30 Friday at the Clement home 119 Second street. He died at 3:20 yesterday at the Elyria Clinic after about six months of illness heart disease with arteriosclerosis and a kidney disorder. Born December 22 1874 in Brunswick Medina County he studied at Ohio Northern University Starling Medical College Mayo Clinic and Ohio State University College of Medicine. He came to Elyria in 1910 and practiced until seven weeks ago when he went to Florida for rest. He operated the day before leaving for Florida and returned two weeks ago to the Elyria Clinic which he organized in 1928. He was regarded as one of Ohio’s top surgeons and friend to Dr Crile and the Mayo brothers. He gained fame for removing seven ribs from a World War veteran to collapse a lung. An avid horseman he owned eight race horses and competed nationwide including the Hambletonian entry. A founder of the Ohio Short Ship Circuit he served as president and secretary of the circuit and was Lorain County Agricultural Society president and head of the Elyria Clinic. He also led the Lorain County Medical Society and was active in racing circles.
