Sewage plants appeal ruling in Ohio phosphorus limits
Two large wastewater plants in southwestern Ohio appeal an order to cut phosphorus releases into a Ohio River tributary. Dayton and Montgomery County warn costs could reach up to 2 million dollars and seek a delay in limits until a new study of the Great Miami River is finished. The EPA says limits will curb algal blooms while phasing in the rules over three years.
