Elyria Water Works Overview and Specifications
The Elyria Water Works uses Lake Erie as its source with two intakes a 24 inch line from 1903 and a 42 inch line from 1946. The plant treats water via rapid mixing flocculation sedimentation rapid sand filters clearwells and three force mains to customers. Output runs about 110 psi and operations occur 24/7 under Ohio EPA rules.
