Robert McCartney, 44, of Lorain, was killed at Belden Grafton township when a fallen tree crushed him while he fumbled through vines. He died at Memorial hospital from a fractured hip and internal injuries. Funeral arrangements were to be held at his brother’s home. He is survived by siblings in Birmingham and Albany.

One Dead One Hurt In Illinois Central Train Crash
In Chicago early today a west bound Illinois Central freight train crashed into a stalled freight train amid smoke and fog. J. J. Mischo aged 43 died and Edward Shore aged 35 was injured while aboard the caboose of the stalled train. The wreck left a mass of tangled cars near the city limits.
