Five armed bandits rob two Cleveland plants in swift cash heists
On December 30 in Cleveland five masked robbers struck two distant plants within an hour. They robbed Ferry Cap and Set Screw Company clerks of about 420,000, then seized a payroll of 7,450 dollars from Ohio Buick Company paymaster and an automobile. Police kill gunman after fatal shooting of a Chicago officer
Police officer William J O Malley was shot and killed early today by one of three gunmen who had shot a Medill high school girl returning home from a prom at the West End woman's club.
