Chatham Township fire department will not deploy its donated ambulance except in dire emergencies until after a 60 hour rescue course is completed. Trustees report liability insurance of 269 dollars yearly is in place and two trained members exist. The department may use the vehicle for outside rescues only in major catastrophes.
Residents ask inspector to correct an error in the stopping zone violation case. Charles Jarrett, the zoning inspector, notified the Medina County building inspector about a barn under construction on two acres. The county posted a stop work order until the issue is resolved. Trustees defended the part time inspector, promising the apparent error will be corrected.
