Celeste Shuns Gilligan Dems in Ohio Cabinet Plot
Governor elect Richard Celeste moves to avoid Gilligan era Democrats in forming his administration. No top Gilligan picks yet, cabinet work slow, with only four directors named and almost 20 vacancies. One Gilligan ally appointed to a subcabinet post, while Celebrezze hires several former Gilligan officials for the attorney general’s office. Celeste favors Ohio-linked choices and parochial controls, with a non Ohio born budget chief.
