Boy Victim of Accidental Gunshot Death at Gas Station

Harold Brown 14 of Stop 80 Oberlin road died after a shotgun accidentally discharged by friend Arthur Markas 16 at a Gulf Refining gas station near their home. Coroner ruled accidental death. Survived by parents, a sister, and three brothers. funeral planned at St. Paul’s church Carlisle cemetery interment.

Students Hurt In Crash At Ridgeville

Returning home from Purdue University William Medeser 21 of 3226 Redwood Road Cleveland Heights and Bernard Brugge 22 of 3075 E 116th Street Cleveland were in a car that struck a tree at Ridgeville about 10 am today. Medeser was thrown from the vehicle and found unconscious in the snow. Brugge was unconscious in the car. Medeser suffered bruises to his right leg and Brugge had head lacerations, hospital officials reported.

In Oberlin the Children's Home held its annual Christmas party with 84 residents, 30 in private placements. Gifts, songs, recitations, and a Santa visit entertained the youngsters while elders appreciated the festive occasion and a piano piece by Carolyn Rebeles. ASHTABULA Ohio December 24 Brothers William Massena 31 and Gordon Massena 27 were killed when their auto was struck by a New York Central flyer at the West Avenue crossing on their way to work at the Ashtabula Bow Socket Co. Both were married Gordon was father of two children.

Walter Yourkevitch of 11 Shear Street and William King of Elyria R D 3 collided at Stop 31 2 Lake Avenue around 7 50 p m yesterday, damaging both cars. Deputies John Eschke and Edward Skorke, riding with Yourkevitch, were investigating the accident.

Not an Empty Stocking drives Christmas baskets in Elyria

Workers on the Not an Empty Stocking committee in Elyria today pack and distribute more than 300 dinner baskets and hundreds of toys for needy families and children. About a score of volunteers are at Jay's Garage on Broad Street near East Avenue organizing and loading baskets destined for trucks and cars, with baskets containing from one to four chickens for families of various sizes, including a 15 member household.
