Head on crash kills two Norwalk residents

A head on collision on U S Route 20 near Precision Automotive and Performance killed Leon Clowtis 63 and his passenger Susan Clowtis both of Norwalk. Benny Riggs 75 of Elyria survived with injuries. A separate 4 37 p m collision injured Richard Groot 42 of Wellington and Bobby Kraudy 21 of Wakeman.

Pair arrested after Elyria two car shootout

Avon Lake man sentenced to 25 years in credit union fraud

Gezim Selgjekaj, 44, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for links to nearly 11 million in fraudulent loans from St Paul Croatian Federal Credit Union in Eastlake between 2003 and 2010. Prosecutors say most funds were never repaid, aiding the credit union's 2010 liquidation and a 170 million loss to the NCUSIF.
