Mary Jane McGue born December 25 1879 in England celebrates her 100th birthday with family in Avon Ohio. Survives seven grandchildren and multiple generations while recalling a childhood poem learned in England. She lived in Berea Lorain and Avon and remains active baking, preserving canning and caring for pets.

Clergymen to Visit Tehran for Christmas with Hostages

Three American clergy led by Rev. William M. Howard Jr will depart New York for Tehran to hold Christmas services for the 50 U S hostages in the U S Embassy. The invitation came from Iran through the Iranian Foreign Ministry with Oslo officials noting the move as purely pastoral.

Rain Likely With Mild Temperatures This Weekend
