More Than 800 Children Attend Eagles Christmas Party
Flyria Aerie No 431 Fraternal Order of Eagles hosted a Christmas celebration for members children with a Saturday dance and Sunday party. The hall featured a 14 foot tree, decorative lights, a miniature village, and hundreds of balloons. Over 300 youths danced Saturday. Sunday saw more than 800 children with 600 women escorts, gifts, candy, and toys distributed by Santa. A three show program by Leo Fredericks entertained. safety measures included fireproof materials and a city fireman on duty. The committee planned visits to Oberlin’s Children's Home and Gat Hospital for Crippled Children to deliver toys before Christmas.
