Thousands of gas stations plan to halt fuel sales as they fail to meet new government rules requiring replacement or upgrading underground storage tanks. The move follows regulatory deadlines and prompts concern over supply and economic impact.
County officials say negotiations with the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland over three Third Street buildings for a new justice center are over after a large price gap. The county offered 1.153 million. the diocese countered at just over 2 million. Commissioner Mary Jo Vasi says it remains open, but the county board has moved on.
