Generics cut Lipitor sales after U S patent loss
Lipitor sales plunged by half within a week of generic competition in the United States. IMS Health data show prescriptions dropping to 359,235 the week ended Dec 9 from 724,799 the previous month, while Lipitor’s share fell to 9.7 percent. Crestor held 12.3 percent amid new ads.
