Lorain County job workers strike over contract talks

Unionized workers from Lorain County Department of Job and Family Services walked off to press negotiations with the county commissioners. The 164 member UAW Local 2192 seeks a 4.78 percent first year raise, extra vacation, paid lunches, breaks and a sick day, while the county has offered 3 percent.
