Law Director Scott Serazin noted the Ohio Ethics Law bans officials from boosting their own pay, while the attorney general won’t interpret charters. In July Mayor DeAnna Hill supported a measure freezing her salary at 54095 to avoid gridlock and push other pay schedules and city issues forward.
