Spencer Trustees Clash Over Trailer Zoning in Park Rule
Spencer trustees discussed strengthening the township zoning code to ban mobile homes or trailers on individual lots, allowing them only in parks. A family whose home burned last year lives in a trailer conflicting with current rules, and officials work with Legal Aid Society and Medina County Prosecutor to align the facility with code. The board will refer the matter back to the zoning board after receiving descriptions to exclude portable dwellings from general lots. Trustees approved disability insurance for incoming trustees and set year-end and organizational meetings for late December and January.
