Ohio Turnpike to raise tolls 40 percent this year
State officials propose a toll hike to add 155 million dollars for bridge repairs resurfacing and plaza renovations through 1985. Auto trips from Elyria to Akron would cost 75 cents and Elyria to Sandusky 55 cents, with a full cross-state trip up 13.25 dollars to 39.75. The move would boost 1982 revenue to about 62 million, the first hike since 1957.

Snow blankets area as several schools close

James D. Sullivan, 24, of Lake Road Rocky River, was sentenced in Rocky River Municipal Court to 120 days in the Warrensville Workhouse and fined $1,000 for entering a Bay Village home on November 19 to watch sleeping women. He fled the Gogol residence where he spent hours in a bedroom watching the Gogol daughters ages 6 and 5.
