Ptl. Richard L. Feuchter of 832 Livermore Lane will leave the Elyria Police Department effective December 31 to enter private business in Phoenix, Arizona. He was appointed June 1, 1957, resigned in February 1960 to work privately here, and was reappointed in September 1960.

Former patrolman pleads guilty to 13 counts in burglary case
Cleveland UPI reports former patrolman William Marlow, 40, pleaded guilty to a 13 count indictment charging burglary larceny safe cracking and possession of burglary tools. Judge Daniel Wasserman ordered him held for sentencing. Two other ex officers named in the indictment will appear in court Tuesday.

All sanitation trucks pressed into service for holidays
Elsin Safety Service Director Joseph C. Cowden announced all available sanitation trucks would be pressed into service during the Christmas holiday season. Subdivision rules under review by Elyria council
Elyria council may reconsider proposed subdivision regulations at tonight's meeting Mayor Charles V. Neeson said. Council President Eugene B. Smith ruled the ordinance passed last week by 43 votes but officials later found at least five votes were needed. Any member on the prevailing side may move for reconsideration. Names mentioned include Chris Nelson, James E. Corolan, and Harold A. West. Also up for first reading are ordinances raising building permit and contractor registration fees, drawing opposition from the Lorain County Contractors Association. The building lands committee previously delayed action to meet contractors, but then proceeded with the proposals.

Railroads Fined 5000 Each for Unlawful Concessions
Two railroad firms, New York Central and New York Chicago and St. Louis, were fined $5,000 apiece in U S District Court for Northern Ohio Eastern Division Cleveland after pleading guilty to five counts of granting unlawful concessions by not charging $10.33 for intraplant switching at Lincoln Electric Co. plant. Counts relate to car switches on dates in 1959 with transports to Albuquerque New Mexico and Tampa Florida. The ICC found violations of the Elkins Act requiring accounting for intraplant switching fees.
