Ban on drop side cribs ends era of unsafe sleep
The Consumer Product Safety Commission voted to ban the manufacture sale and resale of drop side cribs after more than 30 infant and toddler deaths and millions of recalls. The new standard requires fixed sides and applies to hotels and childcare centers within two years to replace cribs.
