Service man beaten in Lorain County jail case heard

Half of needy stockings still wait for toys this year

Less than half the usual toy donations have been received for the Not Forgotten Box as of today, with 1 069 toys tallied vs last year’s 2 460. Hostages Freed as Yardville Prison Mutiny Ends

In Bordentown New Jersey two hostages Richard A Seidl and Ira Friedman were released after inmates aired grievances on a local radio station. Governor Cahill announced the incident began yesterday with inmates controlling a wing as 100 helmeted state officers oversaw negotiations. Durand said no ransom was demanded and the hostages were uninjured. The disturbance followed the Rahway prison takeover and was limited to the south wing with minimal property damage. Yardville houses 744 inmates.

Indira Gandhi declares East Pakistan surrender ends fighting on front
