Two aviators Paul Zimmerman aged 42 and Edward Moodie 29 were aboard the freighter Frieda after a ten hour drifted sea ordeal when their small open rockpit seaplane forced down off Cape May. They had departed from Keyport New Jersey bound for Puerto Rico and flown about 390 miles. Zimmerman from Troy Ohio is married and at Keyport. Moodie, Brooklyn resident, is married. A radiogram to the wives said the Frieda would land the fliers at Boston, though specifics were not given.

Three men isolated Roachdale Indiana from outside aid, blew open the Roachdale bank with dynamite, and escaped with 4500 dollars. J C VanPelt deputy superintendent of banking of Ohio will distribute 25 percent of all allowed creditor claims from the Amherst Savings and Banking Company liquidation.
