Notre Dame stamps highlight revival of Paris cathedral
Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris reopened after a five year restoration following the 2019 blaze. Firefighters and over 2,000 workers are credited, with reconstruction using medieval techniques for oak beams. French stamps celebrate the landmark with themes across years, including the Grand Organ and rose window, while officials honor the effort and discuss origins of the fire. Dennis Sadowski of the Black River Stamp Club provided background on the stamps.
