Local sports icon Leroy Davis remembered in Elyria
Leroy Davis, a lifelong Elyria sports fan and successful Special Olympian from Murray Ridge School, died at Life Care Center of Elyria aged 69. His sister Barbara recalls his devotion to every Elyria game and his many state titles in basketball, track, swimming, softball, and volleyball. Davis is in Murray Ridge Sports Hall of Fame since 2022 and is being considered for the Elyria Sports Hall of Fame.
