Storm brings cold wind and light snow to county
A snowstorm caused frigid conditions and strong winds with less snow than expected. An 18 year old, Jason White, was struck by a snow plow driven by Plas Towing while shoveling his driveway in Carlisle Township near Butternut Ridge and Indian Hollow roads. He was taken to Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland in fair condition after Life Flight was unable to fly due to weather.

Fire destroys LaGrange Township home amid high winds
A LaGrange Township residence at 39056 State Route 303 was a total loss after a 1:20 a.m. fire. An Ohio Department of Transportation worker alerted crews as high winds hindered efforts to save the house, which was empty with the father away on business. Firefighters had it under control by 2:45 a.m. and remained on scene until about 11 a.m.
