Third storm to soak California with rain snow and wind
The National Weather Service warned of a third winter type system in a week bringing rain and possible thunderstorms to much of Northern California and snow to the Sierra Nevada. Forecasters expected up to half an inch of rain in the Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley, winds up to 55 mph in Central California, and another foot of snow on higher Sierra peaks.
