Stabbing case ends as 911 tape fails to give address
In Mineola New York Eva Berwid 35 was killed after a stabbing during a one day furlough of her ex husband Adam Berwid nuclear engineer. The 911 call capturing the frantic pleas for help ends with no address provided. Investigators say the tape shows the phone dangling as the killer carried out the attack. Berwid was arraigned on murder charges and psychiatric examination was ordered. Pilgrim State Psych Center staff face suspension pending inquiry.
