As declarer at Six Hearts with North leading queen of spades and diamonds split 3-2, start with a diamond finesse after winning the ace of clubs. If South holds the king of diamonds, the plan secures the slam. if not, early trump finesse risks failing. Draw three rounds of trumps, cash the ace of spades, then diamond king while opponents follow. If jack wins, you reach twelve or more tricks. if it loses, slam remains possible. North will ruff or discard on a club when needed, and if South shows out on the jack of diamonds you still hold ice-cold slam after aggressive plays.
